Firm Trimester Bonus

Our firm trimester bonus program is flexible.

It’s driven by the profitability of our branch teams – expanding in strong markets and contracting in leaner times. While there is no guarantee our associates will get bonuses in every trimester, they can feel confident in their job security.

Profit Sharing and 401(k)

The Edward Jones retirement plan consists of two parts: profit sharing and 401(k).

When combined, the total contribution of both the profit sharing and the 401(k) match has averaged nearly 5% of the typical associate’s salary over the past 10 years – much higher than the most common employer match of just 3%.

History

Edward Jones was built for our clients, and our purpose is to make a difference in their lives and the lives of their families.

Understanding Edward Jones requires understanding our history.

In 1922, Edward D. Jones Sr. established Edward D. Jones and Co., built on a simple principle – treat clients and associates fairly – that has stood the test of time and guides our transformation into the future. Our “share the work-share the rewards” approach to compensating associates, and an investment philosophy that takes a long-term view of success.

Corporate Citizenship

At Edward Jones, our purpose is to partner for positive impact to improve the lives of our clients and colleagues, and together, better our communities and society. Learn about the many ways our 50,000 colleagues are supporting one another and making a difference in the lives of our clients and their families in our third annual Purpose, Inclusion and Citizenship Report.

Positive influence on society

Walk to End Alzheimer

Positive change starts from within our 50,000 colleagues across North America, and 2020 showed us just how much good can be done when we partner together to accomplish significant things. As a force for good, by the end of 2025, Edward Jones is aspiring to:

During our firm’s first 100 years, Edward Jones’ founders laid the groundwork for a legacy of sustainability. Now, on the crest of our second century, it’s up to us to continue to grow our impact in a new way.

As we embark on what we hope will be a standard-setting new framework for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), we will set an example for our clients, colleagues and communities by:

Support good causes

Our colleagues demonstrate time and again that when we bring together our collective resources, reach and resolve, we create amazing opportunities for individuals, families and communities to thrive.

By supporting good causes, we bolster their mission and ability to reach underserved stakeholders. Through our example of working side by side with community organizations, we unleash extraordinary human potential – inspiring future generations to invest in and support their communities and connect to their own purpose in a way that creates shared value.

Locations and Remote Working

We have headquarters in St. Louis, MO, Tempe, AZ, and Canada, nearly 15,000 branch offices, and a growing remote workforce.

Nearly 7,000 associates work at our headquarters offices in three cosmopolitan communities in the U.S. and Canada.

More than 19,000 financial advisors and nearly 14,000 branch office administrators live and work in the communities we serve.

Flexible work arrangements

We offer an attractive, flexible work policy to our permanent home-based associates and other part-time and contract remote workers.
